ILLUSTRATIVE PROJECTS I LOVED!
Below are just a few examples of projects and activations I loved working on in-house as well as a freelancer.
HR & change
communications
Where: Fast-growing technology scale-up
Task: Partner with the HR team to align the objectives and wording of the new flexible work policy with corporate values, the company's changing business objectives, and new market realities. Roll out the policy internally with a series of communication activations, develop messaging and comms assets, secure leadership participation, and employee engagement. Ensure organisational buy-in and strengthen the company's distinctive corporate culture and its employer brand.
Purpose communication with emphasis on sustainability, diversity & inclusion
Where: Global fashion brand
Task: Leverage the momentum of a new remarkable office building to highlight the company's purpose, which is deeply rooted in sustainability, diversity & inclusion. Develop leadership messaging, activate multiple communications channels, and develop comms assets and tangible touchpoints for employees to engage with the company's purpose digitally and in person. Involve the entire leadership team and all relevant internal stakeholders to actively participate in the rollout.
Integrated communications, awareness raising, policy communication, agency management
Where: Global communications agency on behalf of an international intergovernmental organisation
Task: Develop and implement an international comms campaign to raise citizens' awareness of and engagement with sustainability and sustainable development goals. Set up national teams across EU28, localise the overall strategy, adapt creative elements, messaging, media, and outreach tactics on a country level, define campaign KPIs, and quality manage national agencies' input throughout the campaign.
External and internal comms strategy, narrative setting, media mapping, project leadership
Where: Logistics scale-up
Task: Define the global comms strategy for a growing logistics scale-up, including its main corporate narratives centered around sustainability, technology, and innovation; define relevant media outlets, organise team resources, onboard new comms director, and develop comms budget. Set up infrastructure for internal communication, define key channels, external and internal milestones for corporate storytelling. Roll out first initiatives to gain momentum and secure handover to the in-house comms team.
Integrated communications, project leadership
Where: Institutional and government practice of a leading global communications agency
Task: Project lead a team of senior comms executives and the industry's best strategists, creatives, media, events, PR, research & evaluation experts in developing a winning multi-million pitch proposal for an institutional client to raise awareness of consumer rights across EU28. Develop and steer internal processes, produce clear briefings, ensure timely communication and transparency, quality manage input from different comms disciplines, and ensure proposal consistency. Brief and quality manage localised input from national agencies across 28 EU countries.

About me
Emir Corhodzic
I am based in Berlin and my work keeps me on the move across Europe. Over the years, I’ve lived in London, Brussels, and Vienna. I often journey to Italy and the Croatian coast for personal or professional reasons and to Bosnia and Herzegovina, my home country.
My golden English Cocker Spaniel, Monty, is the coolest and cutest companion, accompanying me wherever I go, making every adventure a bit more special.
I studied and then trained in corporate law, a formative experience that deepened my understanding of business regulation and legal strategies and enriched my insights into the complexities of individuals and organisations. My curiosity and my inquisitive nature soon took me elsewhere. During my M.Sc. studies in organisational psychology at LSE, one of my professors nudged me in the direction of corporate communications, having recognised my keen interest in how communication can facilitate organisational behaviour and advance companies toward achieving their goals and purpose. I've worked with various agencies and in-house teams, focusing on external and internal communications. I am particularly interested in the topic of employee engagement and how it can facilitate the attainment of organisational objectives and purpose.
I'm an ardent fan of and an advocate for sustainability, diversity & inclusion, and animal rights. These causes are more than just interests; they're deep-rooted passions that drive me to make a positive impact in what I do.
Join me on this adventure as we explore the changing world of corporate communications, employee engagement, and the pursuit of a better, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
